More details soon, but just heard of a show on October 10th at the Emerald Theater featuring Paradime, Dirty Americans, Ty Stone and Liesn Unknown. Sounds like a great lineup, I know I’ll be in attendance for sure. More details when we get em.
Mt. Clemen’s own Uncle Kracker has a new album “Happy Hour” dropping on September 15th, and the first single is called “Smile”. Here’s the official video, pretty cool setup with Kracker just hanging with normal people, something I can tell you first hand is known to happen.
So we’ve got some good things coming up soon, including some reviews and a couple of interviews in the works with Colt Ford and with The Moonshine Bandits. There are also a couple of Detroit shows coming up that are going to be well worth the price of admission, the big one being October 10th at the Emerald Theater with Paradime, Ty Stone, The Dirty Americans and Lies Unknown. I hear Paradime is bringing the Gorilla Funk Mob with him for the live band experience. More details soon….
Got a full review of their new cd “Divebars and Truckstops” coming soon, here’s a clip from one of their Videos “Hometown”
I’m really diggin this new track by Seether, never really checked them out before, but after hearing this song I checked their album and was digging the first 5-6 tracks as well, definitely worth a listen if you like this track.

So “Funny People” opens this weekend…Redband(NSFW) Trailer:
I’m a huge standup fan and think this movie is going to be really funny, even if it is 140 minutes long! Not sure if I’ll make it out this weekend, but definitely gonna see this in the theater.
Speaking of stand-up, I caught Steve Hofstetter last weekend in Lansing and the guy was just as funny as advertised. If you haven’t heard of Steve, check out his website http://www.stevehofstetter.com and check out his cds, his newest disc “Day Off” is especially funny. It’s a sunday thing he does where the entire show is adlib and for this one they recorded it. I believe Steve could do all his shows adlib and never have to write jokes again and still be hilarious.

La Coka Nostra debut cd “A Brand You Can Trust” hit stores yesterday and delivered the heat I was expecting from this group. The group is a combination of House of Pain(Everlast, Danny Boy), Ill Bill and Boston newcomer Slaine. The album starts off with a bang with “Bloody Sunday” featuring Big Left and Sen Dog. You can hear it in the player to the right. Brings back memories or early 90’s hip hop and reminds you how much Sen Dog’s background vocals helped make Cypress Hill as dope as it was back in the day. The album also features guest spots from Snoop Dogg (Bang, Bang) B-Real (I’m an American, F&*( Tony Montana) and Bun B(Choose Your Side). I got an advance of the albume last friday and it hasn’t left my cd player since. I still need to sit down and track it out for a proper review, but if you haven’t heard it yet, peep the song in the player and run out and buy it right now! For those who can’t find it in stores you can snag it at amazon here.
